Not a Government Program

• The Partnership is not a government delivery vehicle and is not part of any line budget item in any ministry.

Not Focused on Economic Development

• Economic development is a government program that fulfills a political agenda. The AAP works outside of the government mandate process.

Not Political

• The Partnership is driven by a business agenda, not a political agenda. The diverse Board, our accountability to our investors and our vision ensures this.

Not Owned by the Business Community

• The AAP is a partnership of the private and public sectors, accountable to both and owned by the investors – public and private.

Not Funded by Government

• Government investment capital is not tied to policy – government is simply an investor in the Partnership like all others.

Not Staffed by Public Servants

• The Partnership has its own professional staff paid by the Partnership using investors’ operating capital.
